Mus. B., Lawrence University; studied with Elizabeth Schumann at Curtis Institute; Fulbright Scholarship to Italy. Won off-Broadway Oscar, an Obie, for leading role in Thomson's The Mother of Us All. Soloist with "The Lauritz Melchior Show." Taught at AIMS in Graz, Austria, as well as Columbia, Princeton, Boston, and Rutgers Universities. Lectured for The Voice Foundation. Master classes across the U.S. Author: The Art of the Song Recital, Tristanissimo, and Power Performance for Singers, articles for The NATS Journal, Journal of Voice, The American Music Teacher
