Professor of Music Emeritus at George Peabody College, Nashville, Tennessee. As recitalist: 36 lecture-recitals based on seven centuries of music from ten countries. Critic, music editor for The Tennessean for twenty-four years. Contributor to numerous professional publications. Fellow, American Institute of Vocal Pedagogy; Past national President of National Association of Teachers of Singing.
