Known for portrayal of pants roles. Leading roles: Metropolitan Opera, NYC Opera, Netherlands, San Francisco, Chicago Lyric, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Spoleto Festival. Soloist: NY Philharmonic, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Oregon, Quebec, Helsinki, Malm¯ Symphonies. World premieres: Ulysses Kay's Jubilee; Dorothy Rudd Moore's From the Dark Tower, Fredrick Douglass; Laderman-Darin's Questions of Abraham, Hand Full of Souls, Mass for Cain. Teaching: currently Manhattan School of Music, Sarah Lawrence College, Chautauqua Institution. Private studio in New York City.
