Training: B.Sch.Mus., Cornell College; Fellowship in Singing, Juilliard Graduate School; U.S. Army; M.A.and Ed.D., Teachers College, Columbia University; As singer: lead in off-Broadway production of George Antheil's Volpone; baritone in Broadway production of The Golden Age; baritone with New York Pro Musica. Awarded two Rockefeller Foundation grants to research for performance early American vocal music. Professor of Music Emeritus, College of New Jersey. Inventor of The Art of Belly Canto
